About this work

Petals of Light presents an abstract, flower-like composition built up entirely from symmetrical, overlapping forms. From the centre, soft, elongated "petals" fan outwards, creating a strong sense of radial balance and calm. The colour scheme is dominated by purple and violet tones, combined with soft green, cream and blue. Through the use of transparency the forms overlap one another, creating depth and an almost ethereal layering.
