About this work

In this painting I present a poetic and playful street-art scene of a woman and a man as astronauts standing facing one another and holding each other's hands. They are executed in black and white, crisp and graphic, as though sprayed onto a weathered wall with stencils. Their space suits contrast strongly with the soft, warm background. Above them floats a pink balloon in the shape of a moon, complete with craters, held on a thin string.
