Sweet Love I

About this work

In this painting I present a street-art-like scene on a weathered stone wall. In black and white, an elderly couple is depicted walking hand in hand. Their clothing and bearing recall another time: restrained, simple and full of familiarity. The man wears a cap and holds a striking object in his free hand: a bright pink candyfloss. The candyfloss forms the powerful accent of colour in the work.
