About this work

In this artwork I approached Justin Bieber not as an icon but as a human being. His gaze is directed forward and slightly upwards: not at the audience, but at an inner horizon. That moment of stillness, between past and future, is what I wanted to capture. The geometric facets in the face stand for the many layers of identity: success, doubt, coming of age and self-reflection.
