About this work

In this painting I express a quiet, tender form of love. We see two children, executed in black-and-white stencil style, against the weathered façade of an old building. The peeling wall, broken windows and graffiti form a raw, urban background that only reinforces the fragile moment. The girl walks in front and holds a bright red balloon. That balloon is the only strong accent of colour in the work and immediately draws the eye.
