About this work

Structured Tension is a powerful abstract-geometric work that seeks a balance between order and energy. The image is built up from crisp lines, planes and forms recalling architecture, machinery and urban structures, but without depicting anything literally. The colours play the leading part: warm yellow and red are held in balance by cool blue and steel grey. These contrasts give the work tension and harmony at once.
