Threads of Colour

About this work

Threads of Colour presents an abstract, flower-like composition built up entirely from fine, thread-like lines and vibrating colours. From a vivid red and orange centre countless lines radiate outwards, like the stamens of an exotic flower or the core of an energetic explosion. Around this midpoint, repeating, undulating forms unfold that recall petals or shells. These are built up from densely woven patterns in green, yellow, blue and purple, creating a rich, almost textile-like surface.
