About this work

Chromatic Layers presents an abstract, almost three-dimensional composition of horizontal and lightly undulating bands of colour. The colours range from vivid green, yellow and purple to blue, red and greys, sliding over one another in transparent layers. At the centre the surface seems pressed inwards, as though the canvas had been gently dented or stretched, producing a strong spatial effect.
