About this work

Faceted Landscape presents an abstract, geometric landscape built up from four large fields of colour, each divided into small, many-faceted planes. The composition is crisply symmetrical: from the centre the image seems to fall apart into four quadrants, as though you were looking at a folded or spherical surface. The colours are intense and full of contrast. Warm tones such as red, orange and yellow alternate with cooler blues, greens and purples.
