About this work

Pixel Spiral presents an abstract, turning composition built up entirely from small square and rectangular planes of colour. The forms are distorted into a spiral towards the centre, creating a strong illusion of movement and depth. The palette is dominated by purple, golden yellow and deep blue, which alternate rhythmically. Through the repetition of the blocks and the turning structure the image seems to swirl, as though you were looking into a visual whirlpool.
