As an artist I wanted this portrait to be a tribute to the strength, presence and artistic impact of Beyoncé. At the centre of this work stands not only the singer, but also the energy and symbolism that her music and personality represent. I have depicted Beyoncé in a moment of pure expression: singing, radiant and entirely in her element.
