About this work

Pleated Colour presents an abstract composition of undulating, organic forms that seem to move across the painting like soft pleats. The colours are rich and saturated: deep purples, vivid pinks, warm orange, yellow, green and turquoise alternate in flowing paths. Black contours wind through the image and emphasise the movement, as though the colours were under tension or slowly shifting.
