About this work

Transparent Bloom presents an exuberant, abstract flower form that seems to explode from the centre. At the middle countless transparent, leaf-like forms come together, opening outwards like petals in full bloom. The colours are intense and layered: vivid green, deep blue, purple, red, yellow and turquoise flow into one another and create an almost luminous effect. The lines and planes suggest movement, as though the flower were turning, breathing or radiating energy.
