About this work

Mechanical Iris presents an abstract, radially constructed image strongly reminiscent of an eye or a mechanical iris. At the centre is a dark core, surrounded by fine, concentric lines that radiate outwards like a network or spider's web. From this midpoint symmetrical, propeller-like forms unfold, evoking a sense of rotation and energy. The colours are cool and technical in nature: turquoise, blue-green, grey and accents of yellow and white.
