an abstract, geometric work with a strongly industrial and architectural presence. The image is built up from crisp lines, rectangular frames and circular elements that together form a layered, almost three-dimensional whole. The colours are bright and full of contrast: warm yellow and orange dominate, alternating with cool tones of blue and turquoise and accents of red. These colours seem to run through the composition like paths of light, giving a sense of energy and movement. Thin white and black lines structure the whole, as though it were a technical schematic or a modern city plan.

Round forms and arcs soften the severe rectangles and create a rhythmic balance between tension and harmony. The play of light and shadow reinforces the relief, so that some forms seem to come forward while others withdraw into the background. All in all the painting evokes associations with modern architecture, technology and urban dynamism, but without a concrete depiction. It invites the viewer to give their own meaning to the ordering, movement and interaction of form and colour.
