About this work

an abstract, geometric work in which colour, rhythm and structure take centre stage. We see a dynamic composition of crisp lines, planes and circles that cross and overlap one another. The colours — especially yellow, red, blue and accents of turquoise and white — are bright and powerful, yet carefully balanced. They give the work energy and movement, as though the forms were sliding into or past one another.

The straight lines and layered forms recall architecture, industry and engineering: pipes, panels, rails or machinery. At the same time the round elements and soft gradations of colour provide a certain warmth and harmony, so that the painting does not feel cold. The play between order and movement is clearly present. The light seems to come from within; some planes of colour glow subtly, giving depth and an almost three-dimensional effect. This gives the work a modern, futuristic presence without losing its playfulness. In short: this painting gives form to structure, progress and balance, where crisp geometry meets lively colour and a sense of continuous movement.
