Layered Transparency presents an abstract, geometric composition in which colour, transparency and layering take centre stage. The image is built up from rounded squares and rectangles that overlap one another and seem to shift in different directions. The colours are bright and full of contrast: pink, purple, blue, yellow, green and orange flow into one another and create a lively, almost luminous effect. The use of transparent planes creates depth, as though several layers had been folded or shifted over one another. A diagonal fold or fault line at the centre reinforces this spatial feeling and gives the work a dynamic tension.
The crisp geometry is softened by rounded forms and flowing transitions, so that the painting balances between order and movement. The whole recalls a modern digital collage, a computer chip or an abstract landscape of colour and form, in which structure and playfulness come together.
MikoArt-Liquid Gloss®
The artworks are produced with modern techniques and the finest materials. The artwork is printed on high-grade Fuji Crystal DP II Ultra HD photographic paper, permanently bonded to a 4 mm thick Alu-dibond support and protected with a 3 mm layer of high-quality Liquid Gloss® epoxy resin. This finish gives the artwork not only an intense colour and three-dimensional presence but also a refined, luxurious appearance. It also offers lasting durability and resistance to ultraviolet light. A hanging fitting is mounted on the reverse of the Alu-dibond support, so that the artwork can simply be hung straight away.
