Overlapping Fields presents an abstract, geometric field of colour built up from rounded rectangles and circles that overlap one another. The forms seem to slide over one another like transparent layers, so that new shades arise where colours cross. The palette is rich and lively: vivid blues, greens, purples, pinks, yellows and orange accents alternate and give the work a playful, almost luminous presence.
The composition has no clear centre, but feels rhythmic and balanced, as though the forms were floating in a mosaic of colour. Through the soft edges and subtle shadows the elements acquire an almost glassy or gel-like depth. The whole evokes associations with an abstract city grid, a digital interface or a modern stained-glass window, and radiates energy, movement and contemporary dynamism.
